We are not a traditional NGO for Africa – we're what's been missing.
When you are in Kenya and you are working in the slums or in a rural village or in a remote town or camp you start to wonder where is the money? Why is there so little infrastructure—clean water, toilets, roads, waste disposal, etc.—and where are the public services so people are not hungry and in need?
Then you start to see that many groups are filling these needs. Older women are working together to farm and sell merchandise to support an orphanage. Young men are helping to restore the natural environment and avoid flooding. Other groups are servicing water access points. Youth are cleaning up entire streets and simply asking for a tip as thanks from local shop owners. The work is amazing.
The sad truth is these are some of the poorest communities. The government cannot meet the tremendous social needs of a booming country. And finally you find out that we have not given much assistance. What assistance America does give is often focused on international relief or the high-level interests of large international organizations and foundations.
There is much confusion and misconceptions about Africa, charity, aid, and development. As a result, there is little in the way of private charitable giving — the simple notion that a person, not an organization, can help others in Africa.
We hope to change that. With your help we can. The time to help is now, before another international crisis strikes. Please join us.
Our work fosters charitable giving to Africa that is truly inspired and responsible. We produce recognizable and lasting effects that create fair opportunities and improve communities in both Africa and America.

The pilot of PamojaConnect gained one of the largest followings on Twitter, out of Africa. However, this system was not able to bring direct value to the people in Africa or Covalent Global and therefore has been shut down. We will use the SMS-web technology in other aspects of our work.
