Local Operations, Global Scale
One of the features that stands out about Covalent Global Capital is our locations. We are developing as an international organization with coordinated operations in Nairobi, Kenya and America. The advantages of this are truly tremendous.
With offices in Nairobi we are able to dramatically increase access to the poorest. This is achieved by designing our operations around the conditions of the country. More specifically, charities gain access to our network and reach potential donors using mobile phones and postal mail, rather than computers — a technology largely absent in Africa.
This can dramatically increase our reach. It should be widely obvious that the poorest rural farmers or orphanages in remote towns are not using computers and the Internet. However most have overlooked this reality. For instance, a recent UN call for proposals required a typewritten proposal due within a month. Covalent Global Capital doesn’t require typewritten proposals — we can quickly enter handwritten information into computers. Additionally, we are a long-term solution and don’t have strict deadlines for proposals. This is because Covalent Global does not decide what gets funded and what does not. We don’t have a priori mandates to place X amount of dollars across A, B, and C aid categories. This helps us be fair and impartial by letting individual donors decide which opportunities to support.
